Film
David is a self-taught filmmaker based in Norwich, UK. He started out making short films and music videos before writing and directing his debut feature, The Long Haul, starring Margo Martindale, Cole Sprouse, and Stephen Root. It premiered at the 2026 Tribeca Festival.
Background
David made his first short film in 2016, working without any formal training. He went on to write, direct, and self-produce several further shorts, as well as a run of music videos for artists including Kele Okereke and IDER. This early work led to support from the BFI Network, including the Early Development Fund in 2019, which helped him develop his first feature treatment. He received his first feature commission shortly after, and has worked as a writer and director ever since.
