The Long Haul is the debut feature film written and directed by David Drake. It shot in early 2025 and stars Margo Martindale, Cole Sprouse, Stephen Root, and Yalitza Aparicio. It was produced by Braintrust and Spiral Stairs. The film follows CJ Montague, a long-haul truck driver in Idaho who is facing retirement and the potential paroling of a prisoner who destroyed her life 25 years earlier.

The film was formerly known as Dead Letters in its press releases: Deadline, Variety, and THR.
