Writing

David is an American screenwriter and script consultant based in Norwich, UK. He has written several feature films including his debut, The Long Haul, which premiered at the 2026 Tribeca Festival. His next feature, Law of Sines, is currently casting.

In addition to his own writing work, David offers script consultancy and mentoring services to individual writers and production companies who are looking to develop and strengthen their screenplays. He is happy to work online with international clients, or travel anywhere in East Anglia or London. He also runs seasonal screenwriting workshops online.

Background

David wrote and directed his first short film in 2016 and was accepted into the Writers Lab at the Cambridge Film Festival in 2018. This led to the BFI Network Early Development Fund in 2019, which helped him to develop a feature treatment. David received his first feature screenplay commission shortly thereafter, and has made a career out of it ever since. Research and Development

David is currently undertaking a research and development project, supported by an Arts Council England individual research grant, in order to explore writing his first novel, Blue Banana.
